A 4 hour ladies only course taught by our professional female defensive shooting instructor, Katie Freeborn. This course is for both the beginners, and the ladies who have some shooting experience but want to improve their skills with dedicated self-defense training. Minimum age is 21. Topics covered: proper techniques for handgun manipulation, loading, reloading, and quickly dealing with malfunctions; fundamentals of grip, stance, trigger squeeze and sight alignment; stress, fear and developing the “fight-back” mindset for women; accuracy and defensive shooting effectiveness. A true self-defense handgun safety and shooting course just for women. Cost is $70.00.

Our classes tend to fill up quickly as class size is limited to ten (10) students. To sign up, a deposit or class prepayment is required. Call us at 330-953-2030 or stop in. Class is 4 hours and you need:
-150 rounds of ammo (we have special pricing for class registrants)

-Eye and ear protection (we have these for rent or sale)

-Suitable handgun for self-defense

-Outside the Waist Band (OWB) Holster is strongly preferred

-This is NOT a CCW course and you do not have to have a CCW license to attend.

BJ’S Pumpkin Farm Open for Season Temperance, Michigan

We are open for the season! There is so much to choose from. There are pumpkins galore of every shape size and color. Ready for some of that yummy winter squash? We have over 12 varieties. Do you need to gourds, mini pumpkins, Indian corn, bales of straw, corn stocks? We have it all in a variety of sizes.

Our U-PICK Pumpkin Patch this year is beautiful! For only $8 you get a hayride through a corn maze into our you pick pumpkin patch and your pumpkin. You also get a safety carving knife and a doughnut. You cannot beat the price. Come early for the best U Pick Pumpkins. U-pick patch is open Saturdays 11-dusk and Sundays 12-dusk now through October.

Family owned and operated pumpkin farm. U-Pick or pre-picked, hay rides, corn maze, lots of family fun plus all of you fall decorating needs.


We do rides out to the U-pick patch during the week for private groups. Think school groups, church groups, scouting groups or any other kind of group. You can even just get a few families together and plan your own private trip out to our U-pick patch. You do need to call in advance.

Our mums are in and gorgeous. We have many choices in colors and sizes. Our late blooming mums will be in this week. They will take you from mid October until Thanksgiving.

Our corn maze is ready to challenge you as you search for the 70+ items that we have hidden. Ages 10 and up is $5, ages 5-9 is $4, ages 3-4 is $2.50. Unique to our corn maze is that once you have paid to enter one, you may come back as many times as you want throughout the rest of season at no extra charge. Just make sure you bring your item list back with you for re-entrance.

New this year, we have added a family game Center. You can bowl, play tic-tac-toe, can toss or bucket toss. This is free of charge.

Don’t forget our playground. We have a large Noah’s Arc jungle gym, slides, Straw tunnels and more. This is only $1.50

We have fresh apple cider by the half-gallon or gallon and pure apple cider slush period while you’re here, why don’t you have a donut to go with that?

There sure have been a lot of changes in the last few years, so come out and see us!

BJ farm is located at 9777 Secor Rd. in temperance. We are exactly 5 miles north of Alexis Road. We are right at the corner of Secor Road and Erie Road.
